Professor Claire Wallace
Claire Wallace is Professor of Sociology and has been Vice-Principal for Research and Knowledge Exchange since 2010, together with Phil Hannaford. She is responsible for research grant income, postgraduate research students and researcher development. Claire Wallace was President of the European Sociological Association and has co-ordinated and participated in a number of European grants in the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Framework programmes as well as undertaking research for other parts of the European Commission and the UK Research Councils. She is currently on the ESRC Research Committee and chairs a panel at the Academy of Finland.
Claire Wallace was born in London and obtained her Bachelors and Doctoral degree from the University of Kent.
