Graham Hunter was educated at The Gordon Schools Huntly, Fettes College, Edinburgh and Aberdeen University, from which he holds the degrees of MA 1958, LLB, 1960. M.Univ. (Hon) 2003.  After leaving the University, Graham enjoyed a professional career as a lawyer spanning four decades, latterly with Ledingham Chalmers in Aberdeen and combined this with teaching law part-time at his Alma Mater.  In addition to his legal career, Graham was also Business Manager of the comedy group Scotland the What? for many years.  He is a former trustee of the Aberdeen International Youth Festival, Clerk and Assessor to the Seven Incorporated Trades of Aberdeen and Legal Agent and Honorary Vice-President of the Lonach Highland and Friendly Society.  He is currently on the Board of the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland, a member and treasurer of the Friends of Aberdeen University Library Committee and a voluntary archivist in the University’s historic library collections.
